Job Posting: Digital Critical Media Studies, Univ. of Notre Dame

he University of Notre Dame Department of Film, Television, and Theatre

invites applications for an *Assistant Professor in Digital Critical

Studies*. This tenure-track position is a major addition to the

Department’s growing concentration in the area of digital culture and

digital media. There will also be opportunities to participate in the

Graduate Minor in Screen Cultures and doctoral programs in English and

other languages.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in media studies, new media,

or a related discipline, as well as relevant teaching experience.

The Search Committee’s deliberations will begin on* October 31, 2015*.

appointment begins Tuesday, August 25, 2016. The University is on the

semester system.

The Department of Film, Television, and Theatre (see: http://ftt.nd.edu

<http://ftt.nd.edu/>/) is a dynamic department with twenty regular

faculty. The liberal arts curriculum presents a broad exposure to screen

cultures as an intellectual endeavor as well as an aesthetic and

practical one, and offers courses that appeal to a wide range of

students, including non- majors. The Department resides in the Marie P.

DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, dedicated in 2004 (see
