Victoria: I vote to approve this agenda.

Sofia: I second it.

Motion passes.

Victoria: I vote to ratify changes to the constitution.

Robin: Seconded.

Motion passes.

Sofia: I vote for Victoria to be co-president.

Sandra: I second.

Motion passes.

Victoria: We have the following positions available for nomination: Secretary, Events Coordinator, VP-Finance, and PGSS Rep.

Victoria: Any interest in Secretary? Any interest in VP-Finance? Any interest in Events Coordinator? Any interest in PGSS Rep?

Robin: I would like to be PGSS Rep.

Zoya: I am also interested in that position.

Victoria: I motion to elect Robin and Zoya as our PGSS Reps.

Sofia: I second that.

Motion passes.

Victoria: At the faculty meeting, we discussed the office of legal aid for students, and funding opportunities.

Sofia: At the faculty meeting, we learned that there is a new professor, we discussed the speaker series, the library research series for grad students, the Media @ McGill conference, Edward Snowden’s talk, the Beaverbrook Lecture.

Victoria: What do you think of doing an interdepartmental event with physics?

Sandra: What about with other departments? Such as East Asian Studies?

Sofia: We can also invite the English department and do this in January.

Victoria: We’re also planning a “Meet the GPD Town Hall.”

Sofia: We can also submit two students for the speaker series dinners, and we hope to sort that out as soon as the speaker list comes out, based on first-come first-serve basis.

Victoria: Any new business?

Sandra: We need to fix the listserv.

Sandra: I vote to adjourn this meeting.

Victoria: Seconded.

Motion passes.
